Scientific Anglers Mastery MPX Fly Line Taper, Smooth Casting, Durable Coating, Floating Line for Freshwater Rods

Scientific Anglers Mastery MPX Fly Line Taper is a do-it-all floating fly fishing line built for anglers who want one line that can handle delicate dry-fly work, quick-loading short casts, and confident turnover when you need to carry more line in the air. Designed with a versatile Taper that blends finesse with power, MPX helps modern fast-action freshwater rods load smoothly while still presenting flies with control at typical trout distances, making it equally at home on spring creeks, freestones, and stillwaters. The slick, durable coating is engineered to stay smooth and consistent through long days of false casting, mending, and repeated stripping, helping reduce friction for easier shooting and steady line handling, while dependable flotation keeps the line riding high for clean pickups and efficient recasts. Backed by Scientific Anglers’ long history of materials-driven fly line innovation, this line delivers the balanced feel, casting stability, and day-after-day reliability trout anglers count on when conditions change and the hatch window is short.
