What fuel does this lighter use? Can I use Zippo lighter fluid?

At this time, THORENS does not offer a proprietary lighter fuel. We recommend using high-quality lighter fluid such as Zippo lighter fuel, which is fully compatible with THORENS fluid lighters and provides reliable performance
Does it come with fuel?

It ships without fuel for safe transport—please add lighter fluid before first use
How do I operate the ignition and the sliding cover?

It features a classic WWI trench design. Simply slide the side button upwards to raise the windscreen and expose the wick, then strike the external flint wheel to ignite. To extinguish, just slide the cover back down
How do I refill it, and what if it won’t light or the flame is weak?

Add lighter fluid slowly, wipe excess, and let the wick absorb briefly. If performance drops, check fuel level, flint, and wick height—refuel, replace flint, and adjust/trim the wick as needed
What’s included in the box? Is it gift-ready?

Included: Gift box, lighter, extra flints, extra wick, and instruction. Yes—packed in a gift box for easy gifting
